Ski holidays in Trentino – Skiing on the slopes of the Fiemme Valley

The five areas of ski resort Val di Fiemme-Obereggen or the Dolomiti Superski, with its 1220 km of tracks and 460 ski lifts, allow for exploring the unique Dolomite scenery. You can ski every day in a different ski area with the same ski pass.

All the areas pay special attention to the needs of children, with numerous kindergartens, snow parks and school fields for beginners.

Ski Center Latemar

It is the largest ski area of the Val di Fiemme-Obereggen resort and it permits to move between Trentino and South Tyrol. Obereggen, Pampeago, and Predazzo offer 18 modern ski lifts that provide for transfer of skiers from the height of 1.550 m to 2.500 m. In total, 45 km of impeccable slopes.

The best-known tracks are Cinque Nazioni, Agnello, and the black Pala di Santa. There are also two self-time tracks with timing system (Campanil and Tresca di Pampeago).

Access points: Predazzo, Pampeago, Obereggen.

Alpe Cermis

Easily accessible from the center of Cavalese, it is a network of tracks of various difficulties that descend from the Paion peak 2.200 m high, to 800 m of the valley bottom. The area includes the long “Olimpia” track (7,5 km), recently enlarged and equipped with two modern cable cars.

Access points: from the center of Cavalese (cable way) and from the valley station (cable way).

Bellamonte Alpe Lusia

25 km of wide slopes extend from the school field to more challenging descents. This is also the only area where all facilities are equipped for the disabled. Pista Lasté: panoramic and 2,8 km long, with the start at the height of 2.320 m. Difference in height of 300 meters. Average gradient: 17%.

Access points: from Bellamonte (Predazzo, road Passo Rolle) and from the ski lifts of Moena.

Lavazè Pass – Oclini Pass

A plateau where downhill skiing and cross-country skiing live side by side. The area also offers 80 km of tracks fro cross-country skiing (altitude 1.800 m), with a center equipped with changing rooms, showers and waxing service. Rental of sports materials on site with possibility of getting also a tracksuit for use.

Access points: Lavazé Pass road, that connects Cavalese with the South Tyrolean Val d’Ega.

Rolle Pass

The scenario is one of the most exciting. At the foot of Cimon della Pala, five ski lifts lead to 11 tracks. The best-known is the “black” Paradiso – the stage of international competitions.

Night skiing

The multi-day and seasonal (excluding daily) Val di Fiemme-Obereggen ski pass is valid on the Alpe Cermis floodlit night track, on: Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, from 19.30 to 22.30; and in Obereggen, on: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 19.00 to 22.00. Pizzerias, restaurants and pubs are always open on the slopes, for refreshments and warms up.

For the entire winter season, ski instructors and mountain guides of the Fiemme Valley offer back-country skiing of every technical level, low-cost in group or individual, organizing also ski holidays dedicated to this type of activity, suitable for expert skiers.
